Travis G.T. Johnson, 32, of W. Brush Street, Nuremberg, passed away Monday evening from injuries sustained in a car accident in Sugarloaf Township.
Born in Berwick on March 17, 1979, he was the son of Kenneth E. and Darlene R. (Croll) Johnson of Nuremberg, and spent most of his life in the Nuremberg area.
He was employed as a truck driver for Bloschock Coal Co. in Mahanoy City and Hazleton. He was also a member of Emmanuel U.C.C. Nuremberg. Travis was an avid dart shooter, and was a member of many dart leagues in the area.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary and Thomas Foose; and maternal grandparents George and Ruby Croll.
Surviving are his wife of the past 9 years, the former Jamie Bradley, three children, Brendan, Eden, and Corbin, all at home; two sisters Crystal Johnson, Zion Grove; and Diana Ersoy and her husband Alev, Lake Worth, FL; a brother Kenneth Johnson II and his wife Sheila, Nuremberg; two nephews, two nieces, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 10 am in Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 255 Mahanoy St., Nuremberg. The family will receive friends at the church from 9 am until the time of the service.
