Supervisor of the West Location

Jason K. Harman, Supervisor of the West Location is a sixth generation funeral director in the Harman family.  He is a 1993 graduate of Hazleton Area High School, a 1995 graduate of Luzerne County Community College, a 1996 graduate of Simmons Institute of Funeral Service, and became a licensed Funeral Director in the State of Pennsylvania in 1997. In addition to his funeral director license, he is a certified Crematory Operator and a Luzerne County Deputy Coroner.  He resides in Black Creek Township with his wife the former Danielle Walton and their twins Paige and Jayden.

Sara E. DeAngelis

Sara E. DeAngelis

Supervisor of the East Location

Sara E. DeAngelis, Supervisor of the East Location has been a member of our staff since 2015 and a licensed Funeral Director in the State of Pennsylvania in 2016.  Sara is the first generation in her family to work in this field.  She is a 2003 graduate of Stroudsburg High School and a 2015 graduate of the Funeral Service Program of Northampton Community College.  She is also a certified Crematory Operator.  She resides in Butler Township with her fiancé Theodore Felicetti.

Courtney D. VanFossen

Courtney D. VanFossen

Funeral Director

Courtney D. Van Fossen, joined our team in 2021, shortly after becoming a licensed Funeral Director in the State of Pennsylvania in 2021.  Courtney is also the first generation in her family to work in this field.  She is a 1992 graduate of Lehighton High School and a 2013 graduate of the Funeral Service Program of Northampton Community College.  She is also a certified Crematory Operator.  She resides in Lehighton with her husband, Mike.  She also has two adult children Seth and Jessica.

Mark S. Harman

Mark S. Harman

President Emeritus

Mark S. Harman, President Emeritus, of Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., represents the fifth generation of funeral directors in the Harman family.  He is a 1969 graduate of West Hazleton High School, a 1972 graduate of Luzerne County Community College, a 1974 graduate of McAllister Institute of Funeral Service, and became a licensed funeral director in the State of Pennsylvania in 1975.  He is also a certified Crematory Operator.  Mark retired from full time practice in 2013 and currently assists the funeral home on a part-time basis.  He resides in Black Creek Township with his wife the former Vicki Shank.
