Joann E. (Hunsinger) Knelly

Joann E. Knelly 82, of Sugarloaf, passed away Tuesday morning at her residence.

Born in Lavelle, June 6, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Catherine (Wetzel) Hunsinger and had spent most of her life in Sugarloaf Valley are.

Joann was a 1952 graduate of West Hazleton High School and had worked as a machine operator at the former Saddock’s Factory, Sybertsville and as a waitress for Pursell’s Taveren when it was in Sybertsville.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by brothers Paul and Leo Hunsinger.

Surviving are her two daughters Wanda Cook and her husband Ben, Sugarloaf, and Gwenyth Gallagher and her husband Richard, Tuscon, AZ; five grandchildren Benjamin Cook, Myles, Scarlett, Preston, and Olivia Gallagher; a brother John Hunsinger and his wife Barbara Nebo, NC and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm.  A graveside memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Conyngham Union Cemetery.
