Beatrice V. (Broyan) Ganc

Beatrice V. Ganc 92, of Drums passed away Saturday afternoon at Celtic Hospice, Wilkes Barre.

Born in St. John’s on July 22, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Mylet) Broyan and spent most of her life in Drums.

Beatrice was a homemaker and also worked on the family farm.  She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, her flowers and plants, and was a very good cook and baker.  She was a member of Good Shepherd R.C. Church, Drums.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents, were her husband Walter Ganc Jr., a daughter Cynthia Pecora and brothers and sisters, Sophia Hons, Mamie Ganc, Emily Paltjon, Verna Visintainer, Robert Broyan, Dolorse Krzwicki, Alberta Rossi, and James Broyan.

Surviving is her daughter Camille (Ganc) Zions and her husband John, Drums; brothers and sisters Frank Broyan III and his wife Elley, Yardley, PA; Elmira Correll, Wapwallopen; Marcella Broyan, Drums;  Eugene Broyan and his wife Janice, Wapwallopen.  Her grandchildren and their spouses John J. Zions; Marie Smith and her husband Steven; James Pecora his wife Jennifer; Shawn Pecora and his wife Elizabeth. Great grand-children Angelina, Michael, and James Pecora and Ava Smith, also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10:30am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Good Shepherd R.C. Church, Drums. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
