Lorraine (Lindenmuth) Rossi

Lorraine Rossi, 91, formerly of Nuremberg, passed away Thursday morning at Mt. City Nursing Home, Hazle Twp. where she had resided for the last three years.

Born in Hazleton, January 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late E. Victor and Maude (Stegner) Lindenmuth, and had spent most of her life in Nuremberg.

Lorraine was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Nuremberg, the ILGWU, and the Lionettes.  She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and spent many hours volunteering at the Nuremberg Food Pantry.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Stephen J. “Dubie” Rossi, Sr. who May 25, 1980; brother, Leonard Lindenmuth; sisters, Lucille Makara, Miriam Lynn, and M. Dorothy Lindenmuth.

Surviving are a daughter, Caroline Rossi and her fiancée Brian Tabor, Wentzville, MO; granddaughter, Jill Yurcho Sparks and her husband Tod, CT; great-granddaughter, Sierra Swords; brothers, Emerson Lindenmuth, Nuremberg; Wilbur Lindenmuth, CO; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen with continued services at 10:30 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Nuremberg, Rev. Phil Smith will officiate the services.  Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Weston. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home Sunday from 6 pm to 8 pm.
