William Hower Obituary

William "Bill" Arthur Hower, 46, of Saint Leonard, Maryland, passed away Friday evening, March 22, 2024, at CalvertHealth Medical Center in Prince Frederick, Maryland following a battle with cancer for almost five years. 

 Born in Berwick, January 29, 1978, he was the son of Dennis and Debbie (Hoffman) Hower, Weston; and spent the past 14 years in Saint Leonard, Maryland after moving from Virginia Beach, VA. 

Bill graduated from West Hazleton High School class of 1996 and attended Penn State University. He was a United States Navy veteran having served from 2001 to 2010.  He was a nuclear reactor operator for the Navy for nine years.  Bill then worked for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant after returning from the Navy until 2017 and was most recently employed by Dominion Energy.  Bill enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR races and Phillies games.  He was a fantastic singer and was fond of karaoke and loved traveling with his wife Jennifer whenever he could.  

 He was preceded in death, by his maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Arthur Hoffman, and paternal grandparents, Leona and John Dallas.

 Also surviving, in addition to his parents are his loving wife, the former Jennifer Harden to whom he was married on May 12, 2007, in Cape May, NJ; a brother, Eric Hower and his companion Angela DeAndrea, Weston; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dogs, Diesel and Bruno. 

 His funeral will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 10 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen.  Burial will follow at the Nuremberg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, March 27, 2024, from 6 to 8 PM.
