Teresa Lynn Vogtman, 59, of Sugarloaf, passed away Saturday morning, April 24, 2021, in her residence with family by her bedside after fighting a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, February 9, 1962, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Joan (Nichols) Meckel, Stewartstown; and spent the past 27 years in Sugarloaf, after moving from Edgewood, Maryland.
Teresa enjoyed being a housewife for many years and had also worked for First National Bank, Chesapeake Rim and Wheel, Old Line Plastics, and Walmart. She was a loving wife and mother who cherished time with her family. She enjoyed watching movies, knitting, writing poetry, collecting Eeyore memorabilia and cooking. She loved deeply things that were closest to her including her beloved dogs.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husband Robert G. Vogtman, Jr. to whom she was married on August 26, 1983; two children, Tina Marie Vogtman and her husband Michael Gasper, Hazleton; and Robert L. Vogtman and his fiancée Jamie Reppert, Nescopeck; a sister Nina Meckel, Stewartstown; a brother Paul Meckel and his wife Tammie, South Riding, VA. She also had many nieces and nephews and her faithful German shepherd Mia.
Her funeral will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
