Richard S. Zanolini, 78, of Drums, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 11, 2020 at his home.
Born in Hazleton, January 27, 1942, he was the son of the late Stephen and Catherine (Lapinsky) Zanolini and spent most of his life in Drums.
Richard was the proprietor of Zanolini & Son, Drums. He was a member of Good Shepherd, RC Church, Drums. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus, Hazleton Owls Club, Butler Township Fire Company, Valley Vets, Jeddo Stars, Yard-Birds Hunting Club, Bunton Bock Old Timers, The Drums Lion's Club and the PPL Golf League, and was an owner and crew member on several area auto racing teams. He enjoyed wine making, golfing, and hunting. Rich was a friend to many and a steward to his community.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother-in-law Robert Gaudio.
Surviving are his wife of the past 53 years, the former Judith Survilla; a daughter Amy Rostock and her husband Nicholas, Philadelphia; two sons Eric and his wife Mary, Camp Hill; and Corey and his wife Jil, Drums; four grandchildren Taylor Sullivan and her husband David, Gianna, Emme, and Ella Zanolini; two sisters Janet Gaudio, Drums; and Sylvia Kubilus and her husband William, Englewood, CO; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 22 at 10 am in Good Shepherd RC Church, 87 S. Hunter Hwy., Drums. Friends are invited to call at the church on Thursday morning from 9 am until the time of the Mass. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums is assisting the family with the arrangements.
