Mary Ann Palushock, 74, of Weston, passed away early Thursday morning, July 1, 2021, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Hazleton, June 20, 1947, she was the daughter of the late John and Olive (Nicolodi) Fedrigon and spent the past 53 years in Weston, after moving from Nuremberg.
Mary Ann had many artistic talents, including making and selling handmade crafts, water-color painting, and playing piano. She was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston, where, in her earlier years, was a member of the Altar Society, played church organ, and devoted numerous hours of volunteer work with the church. She volunteered with the Weston Athletic Association for several years where she helped organize picnics and fundraising events. She also worked as a Sales Associate for Boscov's, West Hazleton for many years. Mary Ann was a loving wife and caring mother. She was a talented chef and baker. Some of her happiest moments were spent gardening, traveling, and studying genealogy. She enjoyed going on cruises, touring national parks, and taking trips to the beach with her husband. Some of her most cherished memories were made while spending time visiting with family she located in northern Italy and abroad.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a brother Richard Fedrigon, and a sister Olive Jean (Fedrigon) Yannes.
Surviving are her loving husband of 54 years, Robert J. "Bob" Palushock, to whom she was married on May 6, 1967, in Nuremberg; three children, Robert J. Palushock, Jr., Freeland; Stefanie Palushock, Weston; and Michael Palushock, Weston; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 10:30 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West) 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen, followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston. Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10 - 10:30 AM.
