Lowell I. "Duff" Hausman Jr., 68, of Drums, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning July 5, 2021 at his home in Drums, following a sudden illness.
Born in Hazleton, May 4, 1953, he was the son of the late Lowell I. and Nancy (Sherman) Hausman, Sr. and spent his entire life in Drums.
Duff was a carpenter who owned and operated Hausman Construction. He was a member of the Butler Township Fire Co. and Ridge Runner's Hunting Club, Unityville. Duff was a very unique individual who was always there for everyone. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but his favorite pastime was spending time with the love of his life, his wife Jackie; and his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by two brothers Jon and Burden "Byron" Hausman and a sister Alice Schagen.
Surviving are his wife, Jacquelyn "Jackie" M. (Welsh) Denke to whom he was married on August 2, 2008; three children, Deanna Gronski, McClure; Lowell I. "Cubby" Hausman, III., Pardeesville; Katie Hausman, Freeland; a step-son William Denke and his wife Janine, Drums; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters Nancy Magarosky and her husband Mark, Hazleton; Bambi Berger and her husband Mark, Hyronda "Skinny" Hausman, Charles Hausman and his wife Joanne, and Jane Brobst and her husband Donald, Sr. all of Drums; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His Memorial Remembrance Service will be held Friday, July 9, 2021 at 2 pm from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in Drums Community Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 12 to 2 pm.
