Louise E.W.K. "Effie" Campbell, 93, of Hazle Township, passed away Friday morning, October 29, 2021, at Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Luzerne in Drums.
Born in Rock Glen, November 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Rough) Welsh and spent most of her life in Hazleton after moving from Rock Glen.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her first husband Thomas Kowalski and her second husband, William "Billy" E. Campbell, Jr., a son Louis T. Kowalski, four sisters Dorothy Lutz, Prudence Gross, Grace Babula, Audrey Flynn, and five brothers Carl, Glenn, Dale, Donald and Royce Welsh.
Surviving are a son Thomas R. Kowalski, Hazleton; five grandchildren; a sister Faye Wagner, Drums; many nieces and nephews, including niece-in-law Gloria Zehner, Hazle Twp; and countless friends.
Her funeral will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Rd, Rock Glen, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be entered and more information is available at www.harmanfuneral.com.
