Letha L. (Green) Welch

Letha L. Welch, 91, of Hazle Township, passed away early Friday morning, March 8, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton.

 Born in Tomhicken, PA, May 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Doretta (VanBlargen) Green and spent the past 40 years in Hazle Township, after moving from West Hazleton. 

 Letha was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker for many years.  "Gravel" or "Gram", as she was lovingly referred to, adored spending time with her grandchildren and family, cooking, baking, and word find puzzles.  Gram took care of everyone and liked to share ice cream with the neighborhood children and would give hot soup to folks in the winter.     

 She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband Richard, a son, Russell R. Welch, a sister, Evelyn Welsh, and a brother, Harry Green. 

 Surviving are a son, Steven Welch and his wife Donna, Sheppton; four grandchildren, Ricky, Patrick, Heather, & Tiffany; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen.  Burial will follow in Nuremberg Cemetery, Zion Grove. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10AM
