June L. Blamey, 95, of Sugarloaf Twp., passed away Monday evening, March 18, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest following a brief illness.
Born in Sugarloaf Township, June 7, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Oswald and Ada (Shiner) Turnbach and had spent most of her life in Sugarloaf Township.
June graduated from the Black Creek Township High School class of 1947, where she was the class valedictorian and secretary.
June was an assistant branch manager for Hazleton National Bank and Bank of America for many years. She was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ, Conyngham. June enjoyed spending her time traveling with her husband around the United States, especially Florida to visit relatives. Recently she had been fond of taking care of the many cats that would stop by her home.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents by her loving husband, John W. Blamey, Jr., who passed away April 19, 2011, and brothers, Franklin and Theodore Turnbach.
Surviving are a son Alan Blamey and his wife Cheryl, Tyrone, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in Conyngham Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service.
