Joseph John Goffa

Joseph John Goffa, 55, of Sugarloaf Township, passed away Tuesday evening, January 19, 2021 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes Barre, after being in declining health for the past few years.

Born in Hazleton, December 9, 1965, he was the son of Joseph G. and Bernice (Takach) Goffa, Sugarloaf Township, and spent most of his life in Sugarloaf Township, after moving from Luzerne.

Joseph had worked for Hershey Chocolate, USA, Humboldt.  He also loved to work as "Joey G." DJing at local events.  He was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf.  

Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother Robert Goffa, Sugarloaf; a sister Mary Kay Hargreaves and her husband Brian, Chantilly, VA; nieces and nephews Abigail, Gabrielle, and Caroline Goffa, Nicholas, Emily, and Evan Hargreaves and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

His funeral will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 9:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 49 S. Hunter Hwy, Drums.  Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 am.
