Howard Folk Obituary

Howard M. "Howie" Folk, 70, of Conyngham, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 16, 2021 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes Barre, following a one-month illness.

Born in Palmerton, September 29, 1950, he was the son of the late Howard and Vera (Shubeck) Folk and spent the past 50 years in Conyngham, after moving from Coaldale.

Howie was a 1972 graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.  He was the proprietor of Conyngham Pharmacy from 1972 until his retirement in 2020.  He was also a member of Hazle-Azalea Fellowship Masonic Lodge #327.  He enjoyed playing golf, martial arts and fitness training.

Surviving are his wife, of the past 50 years, the former Gail Rinehamer; a son Matthew Folk and his wife Amy, Chambersburg; a daughter Stefanie Folk and her husband Greg Holiat, Portland, OR; and four grandsons, Nate, Thomas, Hudson, and Cody.

His funeral will be held privately at the convenience of the family with a graveside service in Conyngham Union Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
