Eugene F. "Moose" McCormick

Eugene F. "Moose" McCormick Sr., 81, of Black Creek Township, passed away Sunday morning, January 9, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after being in declining health for the past two years.

Born in Muncy, February 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Earl and Eleanor (Betts) McCormick Sr. and spent most of his life in the Sugarloaf Valley.  

Eugene was a retired Truck Driver for Valley Seeding Company, Sugarloaf.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife, the former Henrietta Burger, who passed away November 5, 2021; an infant daughter Elizabeth McCormick; two sisters Shirley Phillips, and Betty Spaide; and a brother, Earl Jr.

Surviving are a daughter Margaret Fetterman, Wapwallopen; a son Eugene Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Middleport; eight grandchildren, Donnie, David, Danny, and Denis Fetterman, Donna Frederick, Michael and Jeremy McCormick, and Kaitlyn Reyes; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews

All Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations may be made to your local SPCA.
