Dorothy P. (Quinn) Lizbinski

Dorothy P. Lizbinski, 86, of Drums, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 16, 2023, at Smith Health Care Center in Mountain Top, following a lengthy illness. 

 Born in Hazleton, December 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Hildenbrand) Quinn and spent most of her life in Drums. 

 In her youth Dorothy worked for RCA, Mt. Top; and as a Nurses Aid at Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Drums. Dorothy loved taking care of her family and traveling with her late husband.

 She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, Stephen Lizbinski, who passed away August 5, 2008; a daughter, Cheryl Hancharick; who passed away March 19, 1993; a grandson, Ryan Emmons; who passed away August 24, 2012; four brothers, John, James, Robert and Charlie Quinn, and two sisters, Beverly Woodring and Dolores Brundage. 

 Surviving are six children, Stephen Lizbinski and wife Susan, Freeland; Louis Lizbinski and wife Sharon, Drums; Kathleen Lizbinski, Drums; David Lizbinski and wife Tina, Drums; Michael Lizbinski and wife Michele, Sugarloaf; and Mary Emmons and husband Paul, Drums; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

 Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 9:30 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Good Shepherd RC Church, 87 S. Hunter Hwy., Drums.  Burial will follow in Calvary RC Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM.
