Donald J. Flaim, 83, of Nuremberg, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 7, 2022 at Mountain City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hazle Township, following a short illness.
A lifelong resident of Nuremberg, He was born in Hazleton, July 26, 1939, he was the son of the late Condeido and Jessie (Kemler) Flaim.
Donald was Owner and Operator of F&L Gutter Systems, Hazleton and served as a North Union Township Supervisor for 26 years. He was a US Army Reservist. Donald was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston. He was also a member of Twin County Lion's Club, and the Nuremberg American Legion Post #699. Donald was an extremely hard worker who took pride in a job well done.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife Eileen (McHugh) Flaim, a son Sean, and brothers James and Stanley Flaim.
Surviving are two children, Denise Flaim and husband Tom Klitus, Easthampton, MA; and Bryan Flaim and his wife Valerie, Nuremberg; three grandchildren, Jessie, Emmett, and Morgan; a sister, Alice Gottstein, Nuremberg; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held with a Memorial Service on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 11AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart RC Cemetery, Weston. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10AM until the time of the service.
