Constance Mae Snyder, 96, of Drums, passed away Monday afternoon, May 15, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton following a two-week illness.
Born in Freeland, July 25, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Verna (Coxe) Fritzinger and had spent most of her life in Drums.
Constance was a 1943 graduate of Freeland High School. Prior to marriage, she was employed at Sharp's Bakery, Freeland; and after was a loving wife and homemaker for her family. She was a member of the Lutheran faith. In her youth, Constance enjoyed singing in the choir and baking all kinds of goodies. More recently, her passions included gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, crocheting, and sharing her creations with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her stepmother, Helen Fritzinger; her loving husband, William G. Snyder, who passed away June 25, 2005; a daughter, Sherry Hildebrand, a sister, E. "Betty" Learn, half-brother, George Fritzinger, and a granddaughter, Wendy Thomas.
Surviving are a son William G. Snyder and his wife Nancy, Drums; two granddaughters, Teresa Jordan and husband Robert, and Jodi Gregory and husband Christopher, all of Drums; six great-grandchildren, Paige and Taylor Thomas; AJ and Zach Jordan; and Cameron and Melina Gregory; a niece, nephew, several great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.
Her funeral will be held privately at the convenience of her family. There will be no public viewing. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran and UCC Cemetery, St. John's. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
