Barbara A. (Shipp) Shipp

Barbara A. Shipp, 87, of Glenn Dale, MD, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Hyattsville, MD, September 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Sally (Golden) Shipp, Sr. and spent the past few months as a resident of Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums.

Barbara was an Administrative Manager for Galiher, Clarke, Martell, and Donnelly Law Office.  She was a member of Ascension Roman Catholic Church, Bowie, MD.  She was also an avid golfer and member of the University of Maryland Women's Golf Association, Enterprise Women's Golf Association, and Suburban Women's Golf Association.  She also enjoyed playing softball and basketball. She was a devoted fan of the Washington Redskins football team. Her hobbies included wine making, coin collecting, cooking, and playing guitar.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by brothers, Harry S. Jr, Clinton, and Clay Shipp; and sisters Lillian Anderson, and Elizabeth Gribel.

Surviving are her partner in crime for the last 61 years , Pauline A. Tamanini; a sister Carol Blatt, Queenstown, MD; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a date, time, and location to be announced in the future.
