A. Colleen Richards, 55, of Drums, passed away Friday evening, March 12, 2021 at her home.
Born in Hazleton, January 28, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary Joan (Kline) Campbell and spent most of her life in Drums.
Colleen had worked as a Certified Nurse's Aide for Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums. She was a 1983 graduate of Bishop Hafey High School, where she had been a member of the school orchestra, playing the Viola, and was a member of the cross country team. The school orchestra once played for an audience of Pope John Paul II. She was also a member of the Hazleton Philharmonic. She loved music and was a collector and restorer of vintage Victrola and Edison phonographs. She loved animals, especially her horses, goats, and dogs, and was a member of Preservers of the Past. She loved spending time at the Ocean and had acquired many friends on FaceBook.
Surviving are her husband, of the past 34 years, Dale F. Richards; a son D. Keith Richards and his wife Heidi, Durham, NC; a daughter Melanie Richards and her partner Daniel Steinberg, Freeland; three grandchildren Henry and Harold Steinberg, and Benjamin Richards; two sisters Maureen Campbell, Bartonsville; and Kathy Campbell, Allison Park; two brothers, H. Terry Campbel and his wife Rose, Conyngham; and Sean Campbell and his wife Brenda, Walnutport; five nephews and a niece.
Her funeral will be held with a graveside service Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 10 am in Conyngham Union Cemetery, Main Street, Conyngham. Friends may call at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc.
