Richard J. Lorince 71, formerly of Tresckow and Hazleton passed away Tuesday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton surrounded by his family.

Born in Hazleton September 30, 1945 he was the son of the late John and Susan (Mizenko) Lorince. Richard was a machine operator for General Foam, Hazleton and was a member of the Tresckow Fire Company, and enjoyed Painting, Woodworking, and Gardening.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by brothers John and Stephen Lorince and a sister Susan Michalyshin.

Surviving is his three sons Richard M. Lorince and his fiancée Sharon Ambruch, Drums: Joseph D. Lorince and his companion Elaine Zelenak, Hazleton: and Jason Lorince and his wife Renee, Nescopeck; two grandchildren Faith Marie and Caleb Robert, brothers Joseph Lorince and his wife Mary, West Hazleton; and Michael Lorince and his wife Rose Marie, Kelayres; and a sister Margaret Gomes, Pheonixville; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10am until time of service.
