Richard T. Buczkowski

Dr. Richard T. Buczkowski, DDS, 80, of Eagle Rock, passed away Sunday evening at his home.

Born in Hammond, IN, June 9, 1936, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Mary M. (Lynch) Buczkowski and spent the past 15 years in Eagle Rock after moving from Ambler.

Richard served as a Captain in the US Army from 1962-1964.  He was a retired dentist and was a member of the American Dental Association.  He was also a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf; Kiwanis, and Knights of Columbus.  As an avid golfer, he was a member of the USGA, a member at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club, and after his retirement Eagle Rock Resort.

He was preceded in death, by his wife the former Jane Frances McGuckin, to whom he was married 44 years prior to her passing on January 4, 2010; a brother Dwight Buczkowski; and a nephew Michael Buczkowski.

Surviving are three daughters Jane Wilson and her husband Daniel, Thorndale; Sarah Seratch and her husband Frank, Eagle Rock; and Miriam Dillon and her husband John, Falls Church, VA; nine grandchildren Nicole, Aidan, Ryan, and Mary Katherine Wilson; Emily, Frankie, and Isabelle Seratch; John Patrick “JP” and Moira Dillon.

His funeral will be held Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10 am with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf.  Interment will be held privately in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery,  Philadelphia.  Friends may call at the church, on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 9 am until the time of the Mass.
