Nancy S Hausman

Nancy Shelhamer Hausman, 64, of Drums passed away Wednesday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, following an unexpected illness.
Born in Hazleton, January 21, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Millard T. and Nettie Vernelle (Thompson) Shelhamer and spent her entire life in Drums.
She had been employed at Thoren Industries for 27 years and had also worked at RCA, Mountaintop.  She had also been a hairdresser with her mother in their salon in Drums.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Drums and was the current President of the Drums Community Cemetery Association.  She was a life member of the Butler Township Fire Company, and was a former Vice-President of the Ambulance Association and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary.  She was a former Butler Township Tax Collector and Judge of Elections.  She loved her pet dogs and loved to go fast in the “Powder Puff” Races at Evergreen Raceway.
Surviving are her husband Hyronda S. “Skinny” to whom she would have been married 36 years on September 29th; a son Theron H. “House” and his fiancé Jennifer, Mountaintop; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 2 pm with a Memorial Service at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums.  Her pastor, the Rev. Debra Hebden will officiate the service.  Interment will follow in Drums Community Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service.
