Anna Grusetskie, 84, of Sugarloaf, passed away Wednesday afternoon at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Born in Tresckow, December 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna (Hoydich) Goydish, Sr..
Anna was a 1948 graduate of West Hazleton High School and had worked at Carbon County Sportswear, Tresckow and on the family farm in Sugarloaf, before relocating to New Jersey. While in New Jersey she worked as a technician for RCA. After retiring she returned to Sugarloaf, where she resided for the past 30 years. She was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Stanley, who passed away in 2004; brothers Michael, Nicholas Jr., Thomas and Bernard; and a sister Mary.
Surviving are a sister Bernadine Ensor, Englewood, FL; 13 nieces and nephews; 21 great nieces and nephews; and 1 great-great nephew.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 583 State Route 93, Sugarloaf. Burial will follow next to her husband in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
