William J. Gallagher, Jr., 88, of Weston, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 19, 2021, at Mountain City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hazle Township, following a nine-month illness.
Born in Harwood, October 24, 1932, he was the son of the late William and Anna (Velky) Gallagher, Sr. and spent the past 52 years in Weston, after moving from New Jersey.
William was a Laboratory Technician at Rohm and Haas, Bristol; and an Operator at Continental White Cap, Valmont. He was a US Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Weston. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #699, Nuremberg. He enjoyed golfing and hunting.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his loving wife, Lucille (Marignoni) Gallagher who passed away June 13, 2013; sisters Anne Gallagher and Rose Viera; and a brother James Gallagher
Surviving are a brother Thomas Gallagher and his wife Maria of Redding, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 10am in Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston. Friends may call at the church from 9am until the time of the Mass. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen is assisting the family with the arrangements.
