William Carberry, 72, of Drums, passed away Thursday morning, December 31, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown, following a six-month illness.
Born in Newark, NJ, March 26, 1948, he was the son of the late Robert and Antoinette (Palys) Carberry and spent the past 51 years in Drums, after moving from North Bergen, NJ.
William was a Residential Service Aide for White Haven Center from 1973-2003 and was President of the AFSME Union at the Center. He was a US Army veteran from 1968-1969 and served in Germany and attained the rank of SP4. He was a member of Good Shepherd RC Church, Drums.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his by two nieces Ann and Jennifer Carberry
Surviving are two brothers Robert Carberry, Drums; and Anthony Carberry and his wife Rose, Wapwallopen; two nieces Amber and Brittany Carberry; and a grandnephew Mike Williams.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Good Shepherd RC Church, 87 S. Hunter Hwy., Drums at 10am. Burial will follow in Calvary RC Cemetery, Drums. Friends are invited to call at the church on Saturday morning from 9am until the time of the Mass. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums is assisted the family with cremation.
