Wendy Mae (Hildebrand) Thomas

Wendy Mae Thomas, 47, of Conyngham, passed away Monday morning, December 28, 2020, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, following a brief illness.

Born in Hazleton, January 12, 1973, she was the daughter of Robert C. Hildebrand, Sybertsville; and the late Sherry M. (Snyder) Hildebrand, who passed away August 26, 2016; and spent most of her life in Conyngham.

Wendy was an Ophthalmology Technician for Geisinger Ophthalmology in Hazleton and Berwick and part owner of Thomas Enterprises, Inc.  She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Conyngham.  She was the secretary of the Hazleton Area High School Shooting Club, and a member of VFW Auxiliary Post 8161.  She enjoyed crafting, spending time with family and friends and playing with Zayla her dog. 

Surviving, in addition to her father, are her loving husband James Edward Thomas to whom she was married on July 19, 1997; two daughters Paige and Taylor Thomas, both of Conyngham; two sisters Kimberly Houseknecht and her husband Karl, Palmyra, VA; and Jodi Gregory and her husband Chris, Drums; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held with a graveside service in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Mountain Grove, at a date and time to be announced. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive is assisting the family with arrangements.
