Virginia "Ginni" Sharpe, 76, of Hazleton, passed away Friday morning, June 21, 2024, at her residence in Hazleton, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Chester, January 8, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Virginia (Buglio) Sharpe and spent most of her life in Hazleton.
Ginni was a 1965 graduate of Hazleton High School. After graduation she attended McCann School of Business. She was a bank teller for many years and had worked her way up through several positions at Hazleton National Bank, Hazleton, and retired after 28 years. She enjoyed taking trips to casinos, authentic Italian meals and spending time with children. She was an animated storyteller who loved enriching people with tales about the past and her extended family's ancestry.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by two sisters, Peggy and Susan Sharpe.
Surviving are numerous cousins and extended family including, Maurice Dembrosi, Hudsondale; his three children, Cody Dembrosi and his wife Jamie, Hudsondale; her primary caregiver, Jesse Dembrosi, Hazleton; and Chelsea Walker and her husband Kevin, Drums; Pam Tarone, Redhill; and her children, Jamie Iero and her husband Justin and their son Jacob, Redhill; and Jimmy Tarone and his wife Zoyeen, VA.
Her services will be held with a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday, June 26, 2023, from 11 AM to 12 PM from Harman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. All other services will take place privately at the convenience of her family. The family would like to thank all her private caregivers, Maylath Valley Health Systems, and Heather Sugarman, CRNP, for the exceptional care Ginni received and her kind neighbors at Hilltop Apartments.
