Veronica D. Nenstiel, 89, of Tomhicken, passed away early Friday morning April 30, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown, following a brief illness.
Born in Tomhicken, January 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late August and Mary Yenchick and spent most of her life in Tomhicken
Veronica was a Homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston. She enjoyed being around her family and hosted a family dinner every Sunday and every holiday. She enjoyed attending the sporting events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and completing crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by brothers Andrew, August, John, Joseph, and Steven Yenchick; and sisters Anna Lengen, Mary Ziminski, and Helen Marchetti.
Surviving are her husband, Eugene Nenstiel to whom she was married on July 18, 1953; three children Cindy Felegie and her husband Tarone, Weston; Gary Nenstiel and his wife Becky, Weston; and Gerry Nenstiel and his companion Darlene Brobst, Hazleton; a sister Barbara Brugger, Weston; four grandchildren Tara Klinger and husband Jon, Timothy Felegie, Adam and Jeremy Nenstiel; five great-grandchildren Hailey, and Reese Kaschak, Landyn Klinger; Camdyn and Wyatt Felegie; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West) 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am from Sacred Heart RC Church, 554 Main Street, Weston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening 6-8 PM.
