Timothy James Sterba, 71, of West Hazleton, passed away May 12, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton in Hazleton.
Born in Hazleton, December 8, 1952, he was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Yachera) Sterba and was a lifelong resident of the Hazleton area.
He was a 1969 graduate of Hazleton High School and then went on to study at Penn State University having graduated in 1972.
Tim retired from Silgan Containers where he was employed for over 30 years. Although he was a Miami Dolphins fan, Tim also enjoyed watching the San Francisco Giants play baseball. Tim was a member of the Hazleton Owls Rod and Gun Club, the Pulaski Club, and the ECUS club amongst others.
He enjoyed music, the outdoors, doing the crossword puzzle in the paper, and spending time with friends.
Tim had many people who cared for him. He was surrounded by friends Kevin and Lisa Horinko and Dena Oberto in his final days. He will be missed. There will be no service at this time.
