Thomas "Tom" Joseph Edwards, 56, of Drums, PA, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at home in Drums, PA following a long battle with a rare cancer.
Born in Kingston on September 15, 1969, he was the son of the late Thomas and Carol (Litzi) Edwards and spent the past 15 years in Drums, PA after moving from Bethany Beach, DE.
Tom was a graduate of Wyoming Area High school in 1987 and from The Penn State University in 1991, holding a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Tom was employed last as a Mechanical Engineer for Verdantas (Borton Lawson), and spent his career in various fields, holding several patents and a Professional Engineer's (PE) license in three states. He was a member of LCBC Church in Hazle Township where he also shared his musical gifts while playing in the band. Tom was an accomplished musician, singer and songwriter. His love of the guitar and singing inspired and brought joy to so many lives. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a huge Denver Broncos fan and most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving is his wife, Michelle J. Mendofik, whom he had known for nearly 35 years. Also surviving are daughter Lilly (Mendofik) Edwards, step-son Nathan Sissick; and step-daughter Kathryn "Kate" Sissick. Although an only child, Tom was blessed with many brothers and sisters in Christ; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Join us for a Celebration of Life being held at LCBC Church, 760 Airport Road, Hazle Township, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Come as you are! Burial will follow at Calvary RC Cemetery, 49 South Hunter Highway, Drums. Friends and family may call at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums, on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 6PM-8PM.
