Stephen C. Henning

Stephen Charles Henning, 79, of Eagle Rock, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown following a short-term illness.

Born in Philadelphia, June 7, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Stott) Henning. He spent the past 15 years in Eagle Rock after moving from Bucks County in 2006. Steve and his wife, Wilhelmina (Vander Meer) Henning celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary this year.

Steve was an Air Force veteran entering the service in 1960 in Philadelphia. While in the service, he trained to be a dental technician/medic before being honorably discharged in 1963. He was a partner at Liberty Dental Labs, then was self-proprietor of Stephen Henning Dental Lab. In his free time, Steve was an avid reader and loved listening to folk music. He enjoyed playing golf and discussing politics. He was a lover of all sports, playing on many teams while growing up, then a big fan of Philadelphia pro and local college teams as well. Always an animal lover, he often preferred the company of his duck when visiting Florida. Steve survived by the love of his wife, family, and friends who knew him well. He will be missed by many.

Surviving in addition to his wife; 2 daughters, Tracy Bowman of Eagle Rock; Kristin Johnson and her husband Michael of Royersford; 6 Grandchildren, Jack Bowman, and his wife Briana of TX; Julia Bowman, Jason Bowman, Michael Johnson, Alex Johnson, and Christopher Johnson all of PA; 2 great grandchildren, Cameron Bowman of PA and Milo Bowman of TX. 

His memorial service will be held at Harvest Church in Conyngham on December 5th at 1pm. Harman Funeral Home & Crematory (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, assisted the family in the cremation.
