Stella E. Sweet

Stella E. Sweet, 75, of Drums, passed away November 21, 2023 at Pavilion at St. Luke Village, Hazleton where she had been a guest for the past two weeks. 

Born in Hazleton on December 12, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Kopczynskie) Sweet and had spent four years in Drums after moving from Tresckow. 

Stella was a Nurses Aide in the Home Care field for many years. She enjoyed helping people both through work and her social activities and loved baking and was famous for her pumpkin bread.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her brothers Stephen, Albert and Clement Sweet. 

Surviving are her son David Sweet and his wife Margaret, Martinez, CA; granddaughter Elizabeth Sweet, Martinez, CA; three brothers Ronald Sweet and wife Debbie, Pottstown; Theodore Sweet and wife Vicki, Allentown; Edward Sweet, and wife Ann, Canton OH; two sisters Bernice Cusate, Hazleton; Patricia James, Drums; A sister in law Dolores Sweet; her significant other Michael Samac, Drums and his son Tim Samac, Tresckow. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews

All services for Stella will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W, Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
