Ruth Elizabeth (Greschner) Kopp

Ruth Elizabeth Kopp, 96, of Sugarloaf, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 5, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton, following an unexpected illness.

Born in Hazleton, June 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Sabo) Greschner and spent the past 65 years in Sugarloaf, after moving from Hazleton.

Ruth was an organist at Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Hazleton for over 20 years and was a substitute organist thereafter at many local churches. She was most recently a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hazleton. Ruth was also Director of the Faith and Life Singers Group for many years and was known for her cooking and baking. She enjoyed making meals and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband Emanuel L. Kopp and her brother, Theodore Greschner.

Surviving are four children, Greg Kopp, Sugarloaf; Kerry Kopp and his wife Ronelle, Honolulu, HI; Larry Morgan and wife Jennifer, Crestline, CA; and Ronald Morgan, Sugarloaf; three grandchildren, Kristina Wong (Chris), Kelly Ralleta (Rodney), and Joshua Kopp (Chrissie), four great-grandchildren, Charlize Gaudiello, Harry Wong, Elyse and Kaleopilinahe Ralleta; and several nieces and nephews.

All services for Ruth will take place privately at the convenience of her family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr., Drums, assisted the family with the cremation.
