Ross Eugene Hofnagle

Ross E. Hofnagle was born on June 26, 1930 on the Hofnagle farm, the only child of Eugene and Martha (Fisher) Hofnagle.

Ross graduated from Berwick High School in 1949 and married the former Violet Rossi on August 12, 1950. They were married for 61 years until her passing on November 3, 2011.

In 1952, Ross moved to Newark, DE after being hired at Chrysler Corp. In 1961, he started working for Thiokol Corp. on Sub Rock Apollo Dyna-Soar rockets for the space program. He was a Design Draftsman for the E.I. DuPont Co. in Wilmington, DE for 19 years until retiring in 1982 and returning to Pennsylvania.

Ross toured all 50 states including Hawaii in 1987 and Alaska in 1993.

He will be missed by daughter Carol Figgs and her husband Rick of Newark, DE; a son Dale Hofnagle and wife Becky, West Grove; two granddaughters Leah Quinn and her husband Sean of Wilmington, DE; and Taylor Hofnagle of West Grove; two great-grandsons Ian and Brady Quinn of Wilmington, DE; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He also will be missed by special friends Genevie and her family, Ed and Rose Ann.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 10-11 AM at Harman Funeral & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Private burial will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg.
