Ronald Lynn Obituary

Ronald K. Lynn, 74, of Hazleton, passed away Thursday evening, May 11, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Hazleton, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Hazleton, June 16, 1948, he was the son of the late George and Irene (Tobias) Lynn and spent most of his life in the Hazleton area.

Ronald was a collator operator for Federal Business Products, Valmont, for more than 30 years. He was a US Air Force veteran and a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Hazleton. He was also a member of the United Steelworkers Union Local #8567, Hazleton, where he served as a financial officer for 25 years and as President for about 10 years. Ron liked attending car shows, fixing and working on cars, and was partial to his light blue Mustang.  He was the family photographer and fixer of all things. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. He spent his free time reading and listening to a huge variety of music while enjoying a bottle of Budweiser. His musical taste ranged from the Mavericks to Prince to classical, but his favorites were Ray Charles, Elvis, and country.  Ron also loved spending time with his family and especially his four grandchildren. He loved attending their sporting events, musical concerts, dance recitals and plays.

Surviving is his wife of over 50 years, the former Maryanne Grega.  He frequently referred to her as the love of his life and they were married on July 22, 1972 in Freeland.  Also surviving are Ronald's two daughters, Tiffiny DiSabella and husband Ryan, Laureldale; and Kelly Harman and husband Christopher, Freeland; four grandchildren, Nina and Nicholas DiSabella and Collin and Presley Harman; two sisters, Gloria Parise, West Hazleton; and Sandra Rapach, Zion Grove; several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, cousins, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

His family would like to thank the aides, nurses, PTs and OTs, case workers and social workers at All Care Home Care and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for all their help, dedication and assistance in the last trying months. Also, thank you to all the doctors, nurses, specialists, technicians and the rest of the staff at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Hazleton and Allentown. A special thank you to Ronald's oncologist, Dr. Brad Lash for never giving up on him and always available to answer our questions or concerns.
