Ronald R. Knight, 77, of Butler Township, passed away early Thursday morning August 12, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Philipsburg on July 29, 1944, Ron was the son of the late Denzil and Mary (Kline) Knight. He lived in Butler Township for the past 47 years following time residing in several states including Illinois, Mississippi and Georgia.
Ron spent his career as a business owner first in the textile and then in the air quality industry. He attended Penn State University, and was a lifelong fan of Penn State Football and Wrestling. He was a member of the Masonic and Elks Lodges, Hazleton, and served in the Army Reserves. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are his beloved wife of the past 53 years, the former Janice McGee; two daughters Melinda Knight Manyko, and her husband Nicholas Manyko, Weatherly and Atty. Kari Knight Stevens and her husband Atty. Brody Stevens, Ardmore; three grandchildren Nicholas Manyko, Noah Stevens and Elsie Stevens; a brother Thomas and his wife Dee, Muncy; two sisters Patricia Aaron, Madera and Cynthia Horgas and her husband John, Philipsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday at 10 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 49 S. Hunter Highway, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening 6-8 pm.
