Robert "Bobby" James Plitnick, 77, of Sugarloaf, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, May 1, 2026.
Born in Montgomery, AL, November 20, 1948, he was the son of the late Joseph and Angeline D. (Wisniewski) Plitnick and spent most of his life in Sugarloaf.
Bobby was a 1968 graduate of West Hazleton High School. He was a self-employed contractor at RJ Plitnick Enterprises, Sugarloaf. Bobby was a member of the Freeland Kennel Club and President of BBG Sportsman's Club, Sugarloaf. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, logging and cutting wood. Bobby was a hard worker and a friend to many.
Surviving are his devoted wife, the former Carol Rehal, to whom he was married on July 26, 1969 in Conyngham; a son Chris Plitnick and his wife Jeannine; Collegeville; two grandchildren, Jenna Bochnowicz and husband Jason, Gilbertsville; and Allison Plitnick, Collegeville; two sisters, Angela Houser, Zion Grove; and Patricia Harry, Sugarloaf; two brothers, Joseph Plitnick and wife Judy, Sugarloaf; and Michael Plitnick, Lansing, IA; several nieces and nephews, and many good friends, including the following Maurice, Dan, Dave, Nick, Grant, Tommy, Butchie, Markie and Joe.
His funeral will be held with a Celebration of Life at a later date. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
