Richard C. Laubach, 86, of Conyngham, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, June 7, 2024, at his residence.
Born in Berwick, January 23, 1938, he was the son of the late William Laubach and the late Ceola (Nuss) Dietterick and Doyle Dietterick, Sr. and spent the past 35 years in Conyngham.
Richard was a 1955 graduate of Berwick High School and attended Arizona State University. He was the President and CEO of Security Savings, Hazleton. He was a US Navy veteran having served from 1955 to 1963. Richard enjoyed Tuesday golf outings with his friends, buying cars, paintball, his beloved dog Coco and was considered the LCR Champion of the family. Richard traveled extensively all over the world with his wife Nancy, including trips to Russia, Turkey, South America, and Greece; and they had visited every state except Oregon.
Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, the former Nancy J. Hawk to whom he was married on June 22, 1957 in Conyngham, two children, Sherry Lea Ramirez, Sugarloaf; and Wesley Laubach, Conyngham; five grandchildren, Joel Laubach and his wife Stephanie, Conyngham; Wassen Cerasuola, Nuremberg; Nikki Boyle and husband John, McAdoo; Andrew Laubach and wife Nicole, West Point, NY; and Brett Laubach, Billings, MT; nine great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Garrett, Tyler, Caden, Jordan, Olivia, Aurora, Cassie and Alex; two brothers, Lester Dietterick, Berwick; and Doyle Dietterick, Jr. and his wife Barbara, Bloomsburg; and some nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be privately at the convenience of the family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
