Reno J. Lorenzi

Reno J. Lorenzi, 87, of Weston, passed away suddenly on Friday evening, October 7, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton.

Born in Hazleton, August 13, 1935, he was the son of the late Pangrazio and Judith "Guiditta" (Raoss) Lorenzi and spent the past 54 years in Weston, after moving from Nuremberg.

Reno was a Shipping Supervisor for General Foam Corporation, Hazleton. He was a US Airforce veteran during the Korean Conflict from 1955 to 1959 and served as an Airforce Reservist until 1963. He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Weston, where he served as an usher and volunteered at many church activities. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #699, Nuremberg, and the Black Creek Sportsman's Club. He loved basketball and was the former assistant coach of West Hazleton Middle School Basketball Team; and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by brothers Norio and Elio, and sister Rita Palushock.

Surviving are his loving wife, the former Mary Ann Bolinsky to whom he was married on May 9, 1964 in Nuremberg; two daughters Eileen Zarowsky and husband Joseph, Hazleton; and Theresa Lorenzi, Valrico, FL; two grandsons Christopher Barletta, Durham, NC; Aron Zarowsky and his wife Alexis, Endicott, NY; one great-grandson Louis Scott Zarowsky and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held with a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 11 AM in Sacred Heart RC Church, Weston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday, from 10 AM until the time of the Mass.
