Ralph Grant Caldwell, III., 69, of Drums, passed away early Friday morning, September 29, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton, NJ, January 13, 1954, he was the son of the late Ralph Grant and Gloria Maxine (Holmes) Caldwell, Jr. and had spent the past 37 years in Drums, after moving from Trenton, NJ.
In high school Ralph was employed as a warehouse worker for Caldwell Supply Company, Inc., Trenton, NJ; and after attending Bryant College he became a salesman for the company. He later became President and Sales Manager and was instrumental in driving the growth of the company and helped lead the move to Hazleton in 1986. He was with Caldwell Supply from 1970 - 2000 and was a founding partner in Choice Brands Equestrian from 2002 - 2023. He was a member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, Drums. Ralph was an avid golfer and a member of the Valley Country Club for 30 years. He rooted for all Philadelphia sports teams, enjoyed maintaining his property, and taking care of his many small pets. Ralph's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a sister, Sharon Graham.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marion Esposito to whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage on September 22, 2023; five children, Amy Caldwell-Biggs and her husband Joe, McAdoo; Gloria Swire and her husband Gary, Drums; Ralph Grant Caldwell, IV., Drums; Rebecca Repetz and husband David, Freeland; and Bill Hoff and wife Kelly, New Smyrna; seven grandchildren, Carson, Isabella, and Noah Swire; Annikah German, Samantha Hoff, and Christopher and Timothy Foss; two great-grandchildren, Easton and Beckham Foss; a brother, David Caldwell and wife Brenda, The Villages, FL; mother-in-law, Mary Buckner, Doylestown; and several nieces and a nephew.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in Conyngham Union Cemetery, Conyngham. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 PM and on Wednesday morning from 10 AM until the time of the service.
