Patricia V. Walser, née Veale, age 92, formerly of Conyngham passed away peacefully on Thursday Sept 25,2025 at Providence Place, Pine Grove.
Born in Hazleton April 22,1933 she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Elizabeth (Voorhees) Veale.
A graduate of Hazleton High School (class of 1950), Pat was well known within the Conyngham community - her residence for over 60 years. A lover of books, she was Librarian at the Valley Branch of the Hazleton Area Public Library System for many years. She also worked at Friedman's Express, Mountain Top and Bell Telephone, Hazleton. She enjoyed gardening, hosting family gatherings and holidays and spending time with her grandchildren. Pat was an avid Bridge player with the Conyngham club; she further enjoyed regular book club meetings with friends. She also supported many charities in the area, such as American Cancer Society, United Charities Children's Home and the Hazleton Animal Shelter.
She was predeceased in addition to her parents by her husband Frank H. Walser Sr., grandson Michael D. Balliet and brother Stewart Veale
She is survived by her three children, Frank H. Walser Jr of Bella Vista Arkansas, Stuart M. Walser, Conyngham PA and Betsy Walser of Conyngham PA and Ambergris Caye, Belize. She is also survived by grandchildren Alexander Walser and wife Catherine, Columbia SC, Patti Walser, Conyngham PA, Eleanor Walser-Barnard, Edinburgh, Scotland, William Oberrender and his partner Laura of Leawood, KS, Ian Oberrender Kansas City MO; great grandchildren Isaac Walser Columbia SC and Lennon Oberrender, Leawood KS, and her two sisters Betty Lou DeBlasio, Pittsburgh, PA and Mary Frances Gallopoulos, Chicago IL as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday afternoon, October 2, 2025 from 3-5 PM followed by a time to share memories at 5 PM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Conyngham Union Cemetery, Conyngham.
