Norberto Arroyopabon, 60, of Drums, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 19, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown, following complications due to Covid-19.
Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, June 27, 1960, he was the son of the late Juan I Arroyo Claudio and Petra Pabon Aldea and spent the past 16 years in Drums, after moving from Bridgewater NJ.
Norberto was an Account Representative for Labcorp in Raritan, NJ for 25 years. He was a retired US Army veteran who attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. In his spare time he enjoyed bird watching, fishing, reading, and playing dominos and chess with his children.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother Oneil Arroyo.
Surviving are his loving wife, Janet Arroyopabon to whom he was married on May 18, 1998; a son, Mateo Arroyopabon, Drums; a step-son, Kenneth Zielaznicki and his wife Morgan, Divide, CO; a step-daughter, Kacey Horton, Scott Twp.; four brothers, Roberto Arroyo and his wife Norma, Caguas PR; Juan Arroyo and his wife Elena, Kissimmee, FL; Hiram Arroyo and his wife Angie, Caguas PR; and Raul Arroyo and his wife Yolanda, Caguas, PR; two sisters, Yolanda Arroyo and her husband Edgardo Caguas, PR; and Maritza Arroyo and her husband Domingo, Caguas, PR; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday, August 24, 2020, at 10 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums. Burial will follow in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening, August 23, 2020, from 5 - 7 pm.
