Nicole R. (Dressel) Stania

Nicole R. Stania, 46, of Kelayres, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at her home following a sudden illness.

Born in Buffalo, NY, February 7, 1976, she was the daughter of the late Gary and Joel (Ernst) Dressel and spent the past 14 years living in Kelayres.

Nicole was a Counselor for Foundations Christian Counseling Services, Brodheadsville, and served at Called to Peace Ministries, Raleigh, NC, where she was passionate about helping others, especially women who were domestic abuse survivors. Nicole was an active member of Restored Church, Wilkes-Barre. She loved camping, spending time outdoors with her family, and was an avid fan of the Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball Team.

Surviving are her loving husband, Matthew R. Stania, to whom she was married on April 26, 2008, in Hazleton; four children: Shannon, Mattalyn, Silas and Nathaniel; a brother, Tom Ernst, and his wife, Renee, Buffalo, NY; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 6:30 pm at Restored Church, 74 S. Meade Street Wilkes Barre, PA 18702. All are welcomed to bring and post a printed picture of themselves & Nicole and/or post a note or letter on a remembrance board to share how much Nicole meant to them for Matt and their children to read at a later time. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, NY. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
