Nancy Laubach Obituary

Nancy J. Laubach, 87, of Conyngham, passed away Monday afternoon, December 8, 2025, at her home in Conyngham, following a brief illness.

Born in Sugarloaf, November 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edgar and Esther Genevieve "Genny" (Faux) Hawk and spent the past 36 years in Conyngham.

Nancy was a graduate of West Hazleton High School and attended Luzerne County Community College. She was employed as a Physical Education teacher for Job Corps, Drums, having retired in the early 90's. She was a member of the League of Women Voters. Nancy loved to read, going out to eat with her family, and spending time with her beloved dog Coco. Nancy traveled extensively all over the world with her late husband, including trips to Russia, Turkey, South America, and Greece; and they had visited every state except Oregon. Nancy loved the beach and they would spend many a season at their beach house on Fenwick Island.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her devoted husband, Richard Carl Laubach, who passed away June 7, 2024, and a brother, Barry Hawk.

Surviving are two children, Sherry Lea Ramirez, Sugarloaf; and Wesley Laubach, Conyngham; five grandchildren, Joel Laubach and wife Stephanie, Conyngham; Wassen Cerasuola, Nuremberg; Nikki Boyle and husband John, McAdoo; Andrew Laubach and wife Nicole, West Point, NY; and Brett Laubach, Billings, MT; nine great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Garrett, Tyler, Caden, Jordon, Olivia, Aurora, Cassis, and Alex; two siblings, Rodney Hawk and wife Jill, Conyngham; and Charlotte Marnell, Conyngham; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
