Nancy Jean Diez-Luckie, 91, of Conyngham, passed away Monday morning March 7, 2022 at Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Luzerne in Drums, following a stroke.
Born in Islington, MA, May 17, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Hardy) Ashcroft and spent the past 52 years in Conyngham, Pennsylvania after moving from Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada.
Nancy was a devoted wife and mother who raised four wonderful children. She cared for her family, friends, and anyone she met. She enjoyed reading, cooking, ice skating, knitting, sewing, and crafts.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Jorge, whom she met when he was a student at Tufts University in Boston; and her son Jeffrey.
Surviving are three daughters Nina Bumgarner and her husband Mark of Pleasant Gap, PA; Sandra Shapiro and her husband Alan of Norman, OK; Diane Diez-Luckie of Conyngham, PA, and daughter-in-law Cathy Goodman of Bellingham, WA; her sister Barbara Blackwell and her brother Thomas Ashcroft; her sister-in-law, Nancy Tuthill; her grandchildren Sarah and Matthew Bumgarner and Clarisse, Jeremy and Jesse Diez-Luckie, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
