Obituary

Myrtle Irene Roth, 102, formerly of Sugarloaf, passed away Saturday morning, May 7, 2022 following a short illness.

Born in Sugarloaf, August 13, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Archer and Edith (Ragen) Roth and spent the past 19 years in the Bloomsburg area after moving from Conyngham.

Myrtle was a Manager for Western Union, Fort Monmouth, NJ.  She was a member of  Christ United Church of Christ, Conyngham.  She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of many card clubs.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by three sisters, Dorothy Zobel, Verna Traub and Jean Masteller.

Surviving are a nephew Lee Masteller and wife Donna, Catawissa; a niece Deborah Shultz and husband John, Bloomsburg; three great-nieces, three great-nephews; four great-great nephews, two great-great nieces, and two great-great-great nephews. 

Her funeral will be held with a graveside Memorial Service on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 11AM in Conyngham Union Cemetery, Main Street, Conyngham, PA 18219. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr., Drums is assisting the family with the arrangements.
