Monica R. Paulshock, 77, of Sugarloaf, passed away Monday evening, March 21, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes Barre, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Hazleton, October 8, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Ogorzalek) Wydock, Sr. and spent the past 45 years in Sugarloaf, after moving from Hazleton.
Monica was a 1962 graduate of Hazleton High School. She worked at the former Tung-Sol, Hazleton and retired in 2006 from Penn State Hazleton Campus. Nana enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed making crafts, candy, and baked goods, and attending craft shows. She was a member of St. John Bosco RC Church, Sugarloaf.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her twin brother John "Jasiu" Wydock.
Surviving are her husband of the past 52 years James "Jimmy" Paulshock; her son Bryan Paulshock and his wife Kathleen, Sugarloaf; her daughter Kristen Kripp and her husband Joe, Mountain Top; three grandchildren Connor and Gavin Paulshock, and Olivia Kripp; three sisters Frances Blakeslee and her husband Leonard, Punta Gorda, FL: Bernadette Lohrke and her husband Wayne, Sugarloaf; and Joanne Walck and her husband Gary, Tinton Falls, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:30 am from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (East) 669 W. Butler Drive, Drums, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. John Bosco RC Church, 573 State Route 93, Sugarloaf. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening 6-8 pm. A Christian Wake Service will be held Friday evening.
