Michael A. Lisnock Sr., 74, of Sugarloaf, passed away Friday morning, January 13, 2023, at his home.
Born in Hazleton, May 28, 1948, he was the son of the late Stanley and Anna (Koroly) Lisnock and spent the past 48 years in Sugarloaf, after moving from Hazleton.
Michael was a Maintenance Mechanic for Silgan Closures, Valmont for over 30 years. He was a US Army veteran during the Vietnam Conflict having served from 1967 - 1970 and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze stars. He was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton. He was also a member of the VFW and multiple running groups including the Wyoming Valley Striders. Michael was an avid runner who participated in numerous races with the Run for the Diamonds, Marine Corps and Philadelphia Marathons being his favorites. He took pleasure in attending grandchildrens' sporting events, fixing things and was an electrician by trade.
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Barbara Ann Moyer, a son, Michael A. Lisnock, Jr., Sugarloaf; a daughter, Leia Lisnock, Freeland; two step-sons, Barry Magagna and wife Dineen, Philadelphia; and Billy Magagna and wife Aaron, Willow Street; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11 AM from Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, West Hazleton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
